WAV Design Tech is developing a new approach to wheelchair-accessible transportation.
Instead of relying on traditional ramps and lifts, our patented and patent-pending technology lowers an entry platform directly to ground level, allowing a wheelchair to roll aboard with a simpler, more direct approach.
The technology is the result of decades of engineering, development and real-world experience. The approach is designed to offer significant advantages over conventional ramp systems, including safer access, faster entry and exit,
and the potential for more cost-effective implementation. For electric vehicles, the architecture can also provide greater flexibility in the placement and allocation of batteries beneath the vehicle floor.
Today, WAV Design Tech is focused on bringing this technology to the next generation of vehicles, including autonomous transportation, where accessibility can be engineered into the vehicle architecture from the beginning rather than
added as an adaptation afterward.
